Main Characters: Lucinda “Luce”  Price, Daniel Grigori, Cameron “Cam” Briel, Miles Fisher, Shelby, Francesca

Fave Quote: “I will always catch you when you fall” ~ Daniel

Hell on earth.

That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel.
It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts—immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn’t told her everything. He’s hiding something—something dangerous.
What if Daniel’s version of the past isn’t actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

“How many lives do you need to live, before you find someone worth dying for?”

The second installment to the captivating Fallen series; Torment gives readers another reason to hold on tight and keep on reading, because in this book, expect the unexpected.

Just when we thought Luce and Daniel will be off to their happily ever after, Luce got swished off into hiding.  Luce is sent to Shoreline, a school for both human and Nephilim. Daniel will do anything to protect her and so Shoreline is the best option. While Daniel fights off the Outcasts (the worse kind of angels) with Cam (they made a truce, and are now fighting side by side), Luce learns about her past lives with the help of her new friends, Shelby and Miles.

In this novel, Luce starts to wonder if her relationship with Daniel is worth it..especially with Miles around, who is always there for her when Daniel is far off doing something else. Daniel and Luce start to have doubts about their relationship. Talk about sad… 😦

The ending fo this book will suck the air out of you. I know I gasped when I finished reading it..haha! It’ll make you beg for the next book…Passion.

Torment is dark and captivating. It’s torture to wait for the next installment…haha!
